A scar is a mark left on the skin after healing of an injury such as wounds, suturing and burns. Raised or hypertrophic scars are caused by collagen overproduction during the wound healing process. Keloids are raised scars that grow beyond the borders of the original wound.

Rejuderm Scar Cream can reduce old raised scars, along with providing relief from itching. Old scars are defined as those which have formed more than a year ago; this is when they stop growing and become pale and white, due to lack of blood vessels. This cream helps soften and flatten raised scars and reduce their redness or darkness.

Rejuderm Scar Cream can also soothes and relieves itching in new scars which have formed less than a year ago; just remember not to massage the cream on these scars, as it may cause irritation and increase scar size.

It depends on three factors of scar’s maturity, thickness and location. Evidently, the thicker and older the scar, the longer it takes to reduce if Rejuderm Scar Cream is used. However scars situated on bony parts of the body need less time to fade away.
Take a picture from the scar then start applying the cream. Take another picture after 2 months and compare with the previous one. Use Rejuderm Scar Cream in raised scars (hypertrophic or Keloid) until eventually flatten out; this may take even up to 18 months if they are thick.

Rejuderm Scar Cream can permanently remove scars, meaning that when the scar is removed, it will not grow again. If you choose to stop applying the cream during the usage period, scar will not fade away any more, nor will it grow back. If you resume applying the cream, scar’s reduction will also resume; naturally, this will lengthen the scar reduction period.

Some scars may get swollen upon initial use of Rejuderm Scar Cream. Initial swelling is more common in scars which have undergone laser treatment or surgery prior to the application of Rejuderm. But this is temporary and will not increase the scar’s size. If any swelling or irritation occurs, discontinue use of Rejuderm Scar Cream for a few days, until swelling subsides. You may then resume by applying the cream once a day, massaging it in gently only on the scar tissue. After a few days, when the scar is adapted to the ingredients of Rejuderm Scar Cream, apply it two to three times a day.

Achieving the best results requires proper use of Rejuderm Scar Cream. Rejuderm Scar Cream will be effective even if applied once a day, but it will take longer to see the results. Decreasing the massage time can decrease Rejuderm Scar Cream’s efficacy; thus it is best to massage the cream for 1.5 minutes. Be careful not to exceed the mentioned frequency of use or massage time, as it can bring inflammation, itching and irritation. Remember that there should be a minimum interval of 5 hours among two consequent use.

Rejuderm Scar Cream is a natural peeling product which can effectively minimize the appearance of old keloid and hypertrophic scars and provide relief from itching. But you should remember that scar removal requires patience and time, especially if the scar is visibly large. Take a picture from the scar upon starting the cream; continue taking shots from the scar every other month. By comparing the pictures, changes are easily visible. If no changes are to be seen, it may be due to one of the following:

1) The scar has improved but since you have not taken any picture before application of Rejuderm Scar Cream, there is no evidence to assess the improvement.
2) If you have a picture from the first day, allow 45 to 60 days before evaluating any changes.
3) The cream has been used less than what is directed; therefore, it will take longer to see the results.
4) You have massaged Rejuderm Scar Cream faster than what is directed (it should be massaged slowly).
5) You have massaged Rejuderm Scar Cream less than what is directed (it should be massaged for 1.5 minutes). If the scar is large, it is better to apply the cream on each 5 centimeters separately.
6) You have not used adequate pressure while massaging the area.

Note that Rejuderm Scar Cream is intended to use on old keloid and hypertrophic scars; it can also control itching in new scars which have formed less than a year ago; just remember not to massage the cream on these scars, as it may cause irritation and increase scar size.
